Colorado Gold Conference hosted by the Rocky Mountain Ficton Writers
by Nicole Maggi This was the very first conference I ever attended, in 2002. I was in heaven, being surrounded by so many writers and spending all day in workshops. I attended again in 2005.
This is a great conference, particularly if you live in the Denver area. It is geared more toward local writers than the other conferences I’ve attended. It’s definitely more on a local scale than, say, Surrey, which is an international conference. If you’re a conference newbie, this is a great place to start. They usually have a great mix of agents and editors and best-selling authors.
RMFW also hosts a well-regarded contest in conjunction with this conference. Our very own Ginger finaled in 2005.
